Carwash Reclaim

What Makes Ous System Work

No Bag or Cartridge Filters

Hydro Engineering car wash reclaim systems are designed to recycle 100% of the water that can be collected!

Check out the Car Wash Water Analysis link below for actual water test results taken by the customer’s sewer department. You don’t get water test results more reliable than from the sewer department themselves. It shows test results before the Extreme Clean System was installed and then after five months of operation using the original filter media. This is the toughest case scenario. A full service truck wash using high caustic soaps and aluminum brighteners in their washing process and recycling their wastewater. “The Wash Rack” has (13) pressure washers running at 5 gpm each. They use recycled water for all washing operations and primary rinse steps, their RO final rinse system adds a small amount of water to the system causing it to overflow to the sanitary sewer.

Hydro Engineering Inc. Complete Line of Water Filtration and Recycling Equipment Focuses on Environmental Compliance and Getting Equipment Wash Racks to go Green

Environmentally compliant equipment wash racks are not just a dream; they are being designed, built and used all over the world. Wash rack systems are available that seamlessly collect the waste water, filter that collected water for discharge to sewer, or, if no sewer is available, filter and recycle the waste water and process it back into the wash process.

Hydro Engineering Inc. has been designing waste water filtration systems for equipment wash rack applications for over 20 years. But now, new product enhancements to their Hydrokleen product line have simplify every aspect of the filtration or recycling requirement and eliminated the guess work of choosing the correct equipment to filter or recycle wash water.

The Extreme Clean: Only requires a collection pit to pump wastewater to the reclaim system.

The competition: Retrofitting existing car washes is very expensive, floors and drainage systems require major changes, extensive plumbing must be added. Then include interruption of washing for days or even weeks.

The Extreme Clean: The existing collection and drainage system is utilized, only a wastewater pickup point is required. Pumps are installed in the collection system in only hours. Most often without discontinuing washing operations.

The competition: Most reclaim systems require multiple large in-ground pits that are costly to install. These installation costs generally make even the least expensive system more costly once installed than the Extreme Clean.

The Extreme Clean: Above ground (cone bottom) tanks are an integral part of the Extreme Clean system. Solids that settle out in its tanks and can be easily purged and removed from the system.

The competition: These large under ground pits provide the settling time for solids to settle out and then require frequent maintenance to clean out the accumulated solids.

The Extreme Clean: Extensive oil coalescing and active skimming is standard on the Extreme Clean, 95% water free oil is removed from the system and deposited into a waste oil container for disposal and/or subsequent sale for recycling. Hydro-Biodigesters bacterial product (HBD) live within the sludge consuming hydrocarbons grease and oils.

The competition: Oils and sludge are accumulated in these underground pits (sumps) require sludge to be pumped from them. In most cases this waste must be hauled away as hazardous material.

The Extreme Clean: The Extreme Clean cannot interrupt washing operations. The system can even be turned off and wastewater will still pass through uninterrupted. Extreme Clean owners don’t loose money due to loss of operation and turned away customers.

The competition: Most systems on the market will interrupt washing operations when they breakdown or require maintenance. This requires the operator to bypass the reclaim system to maintain washing and continue to make money. This also requires that the operator be notified that the system is down so bypassing can be accomplished.

The Extreme Clean: Only continuous media filters (CMAFU) and backflushable media filters are used. All are automatic and require little user attention. The Extreme Clean system backflushes automatically, on demand in just minutes and each night (as programmed). No down time here!

The competition: Most systems use cartridge or bag filters that require taking the system off line for costly replacement or cleaning of these filters.

The Extreme Clean: Hydrocarbons (oils) are completely removed with the Extreme Clean.

The competition: Rainbows on the finished vehicle from oils don’t make happy customers.

The Extreme Clean: “We Won’t Put a Skunk In Your Trunk” The Extreme Clean system uses Hydro-Biodigesters to eliminate odor. Targeted bacteria, enzymes, micro and macronutrients work together to out compete natural bacteria providing a smell free system. See Biodigesters for more information.

The competition: Most reclaim systems stink! Foul smelling cars don’t bring customers back. Ozone and other corrosives are used to kill naturally occurring bacteria and are almost never 100% successful. These do damage to customer’s vehicles and car-washing equipment and are very costly to use.

The Extreme Clean: Is manufactured by Hydro Engineering Inc. We have over 1500 wastewater treatment systems in daily operation. With three GSA (Government) contracts covering our equipment and 25+ years of experience in the business we know how to make it work.

The competition: Experience is lacking in the reclaim business.
