How The HE/S1H Works
How The HE/S1-H System Works:
As oily water enters the HE/S1, it
is slowed down, thus allowing the solids to fall to the bottom
of the coalescing tank and the oil/water separation to begin.
Gravity causes the oily water to flow through 76,896 square
inches of oil coalescing plates. These plates allow the oil
to gather together into large droplets where they can float
to the surface and be mechanicaly skimmed from the water.
Free oil is reduced to less than 50 PPM. Virtually oil-free
water then flows into a multi media-polishing loop, which
reduces light and emulsified hydrocarbons to less than 10
PPM. This system polishes water at 50 GPM in a loop that assures
multiple passes through the media, which prepare the water
for recycling or direct-to-sewer discharge. The oily-water
holding tanks are designed for self-cleaning. Any solids that
drop to the bottom of the tanks are easily purged. Thus
a polishing filtration system!
