High Pressure Screen Reclaiming
In 1980 Hydro
Engineering Inc. set the standard when we introduced 3000
PSI reclaiming to the Screen Print Industry. Screen Printers
immediately started saving money on labor, chemicals and other
related costs.
A side benefit emerged
with high pressure reclaiming, all of the contaminants (ink
and emulsion) removed from the screen by high pressure come
off in a solid form. As a solid these contaminants can easily
be removed from the waste stream by mechanical filtration
methods sending purified water to the sanitary sewer.
High pressure reclaiming
also allows wastewater to be recycled. This is crucial for
those printers that are not on a city sewer system (sanitary
sewer). Chemicals and contaminants from the reclaiming process
can kill a septic system allowing the drain field to plug
up and ground water contamination to exist.
In 1994 a cooperative
project between the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and
the Printing Association Nationwide completed a study that
looked at RISK, PERFORMANCE & COST as it applied to screen
reclaiming.

Hydroblaster
Pressure Washers
Built specifically
for screen printers, our Hydroblasters have been used in screen
reclaiming for 30 years. Each unit is designed with the safety
and reliability that our customers have come to expect.
Hydrobooth
Our washout sinks
(booths) come in many sizes ranging from 40" to 20' wide and
48" to 12' high. For the cost consious they are offered both
backlit and non backlit, vented and non vented.

Filtration Systems
Screen Printers wastewater is among the toughest to bring
into compliance. We have never failed to get a customer's
discharge acceptable to their sewer department. For those
customers on septic systems we recommend recycling (zero discharge).

a chemical company, our approach to automatic screen reclaiming
is much different. By using Hydro Engineering Inc. patented
High Pressure Technology chemical costs are cut dramatically.
